GK STREAK – ENRICHED LUCIDITY
The budget arena is the most exciting segment in the IEM game! Reason? This is the most crowded and introductory segment that enables the brand to push their innovation and capture everyone’s attention. The budget game is evolving steadily since the lockdown got ended and I have witnessed various hi end brands entering the budget game. The game once was ruled by few brands like KZ, CCA, QKZ, Blon, TRN, TFZ etc is now crowded with premium brands with their innovative ideas.
Table Of Content
I do have a point where I find that IEM got a saturation point! Now the choice comes down to the user’s preference! IEM’s have started to come with the same signature but certain distinct features like fit, booster technical aspects etc is what separates the crowd.
Groove Keeper, in short known as GK has entered the budget arena and created a whirlpool in the game. The Kunten, though I haven’t tried it personally, it got rave reviews from the reviewers and consumers worldwide. That KUN Dynamic Driver showcased an energetic sound that attracted everyone’s attention didn’t excited me due to the hype.
GK Streak, the latest offering hasn’t received the same hype and that made me intriguing! The configuration seems interesting and unique in this segment. The KUN Dynamic Driver with a Micro Planar Tweeter! This combination allowed the Streak to exhibit a dynamic sound without any compromise over the technical aspects.

GK STREAK SPECIFICATIONS:
Drivers: KUN Dynamic Driver + Independent Micro-Planar Tweeter
Impedance: 32Ω
Sensitivity: 111dB
Frequency: 20Hz–40kHz
Connector: 0.78mm 2-pin
Cable: Gold-plated detachable, 3.5mm
DESIGN AND BUILD:
Despite being a generic budget casing, this does have good heft on the hands. The metallic alloy faceplate and the resin body feel rich with no visible glues whatsoever. The finish has been done well with minimal branding to maintain its aesthetics. The ripple pattern on the faceplate and the stealthy black goes well with the aesthetic look.
The stock cable and ear tips however feel generic and it’s the same that one see’s with budget iem’s.
DISCLAIMER:
This unit was provided by GK Hifi in exchange for my honest opinion. Despite being a review unit, the views are not influenced and is based on my observations.
GK STREAK SOUND ANALYSIS:
Streak showcases a balanced sound profile with neutral tonality. This might seem very generic but that doesn’t stop here. The faster transients, wider staging and precise imaging brings the best and make them stand out in the crowd.
Pairings: Streak 3.5mm Stock Cable + Tanchjim Space Dongle DAC + Hiby Music (Local FLACS)

BASS:
The beauty of a dynamic driver is its bass deliverance. Streak outputs a punchy bass response with faster attack and decay. Quality over quantity is appreciated in the streak’s bass! Sub bass drops are heard evidently when the notes show up. The punchy mid bass with its subtle touch elevates the dynamism without cluttering up. Out of all the budget IEM’s, this brings the best bass response onto the table showcasing a controlled yet a dynamic curve.
Bass heads might feel the bass to be thin due to lack of meaty and bouncy texture but that’s what makes this stand out. The precision in its weightage allows the distinct separation between the sub and mid bass profiles. This distinction allows the streak to handle even the busiest tracks with ease.
MID-SECTION:
The forward mid-profile of the Streak keeps the listeners engaged. The lower mid-profile with its cleaner outlook gives the male vocals the needed clarity and warmth. The elevated upper mid-profile brings the sparkle onto the table while keeping the female vocals as natural as possible.
Streak exhibits a moderate lush factor that’s not overpowering. This brings less body to the overall presentation yet the added clarity compensates it.
TREBLE:
Elevation can be seen evidently with its added brightness and brilliance in the top end. The treble never feels muted in the Streak rather its more vivid and lively. The percussion instruments and trumpets get that natural strike with precise attack and decay for a realistic representation. The sibilance is kept well under control with no noticeable sharp edges.
TECHNICALITIES:
TRANSIENTS: Streak has the best transients under 20 USD as of now. The notes switch its place rapidly allowing the subsequent notes to take up the stage. The faster transients allow the Streak to handle the complex tracks with ease.
IMAGING AND LAYERING: The precise imaging makes this Streak a good companion for gaming. This goes well with the FPS games due to high positional accuracy with impressive layering capability.
DETAIL RETRIEVAL: For its price, the Streak overdoes the job efficiently and all thanks to its micro planar tweeter. Compared to its Single DD competitors, the added driver brings the best onto the table. Even the faintest details are captured clearly with ease. Though not up to the flagship level, this is spectacular for its price.
Amidst the crowd, the GK Streak’s ENRICHED LUCIDITY ensures its position as a definite keeper in one’s audiophile’s collection.
