Hifiman RE-400 Review is a must for every reviewing body. In 2016, the Hifiman RE-400 was a very important product because it gave great sound at an affordable price. It was a great choice for music lovers who wanted a high-fidelity listening experience without breaking the bank. It had great sound quality, was comfortable to wear, and was built to last. The RE-400 stood out in the 2016 audio market because it could compete with higher-priced models in terms of performance and could be used by a wider range of people. Hence, better late than never, this is ours. Let’s begin with specs.

  • Driver Type : Single Dynamic Driver.
  • Freq. range : 15 ~ 21000hz.
  • Sensitivity : 102db.
  • Impendence : 32ohm.
  • Cable length : 1.33m.
  • Plug : 3.5mm 3 Pole Unbalanced (TRS)

The RE-400 is praised for its balanced and neutral sound profile. It provides clear and detailed sound reproduction with a slight emphasis on the mid-range. While the bass response is accurate, it may lack the impact and depth desired by bass enthusiasts. Some users also find the treble slightly rolled off. The 3D imaging function is fantastic, especially considering the price point! I am overjoyed as soon as I hear the line played on the bass guitar and the flute. These earphones feature both synthetic and organic bass tones. The layering on these earphones is incredibly lifelike, and they could very well be awarded a medal for their work. Because these earbuds have such an expansive soundstage, wearing them will make you feel as if you are actually at the venue where the performance is taking place. The bass doesn’t put any pressure on me at all.

The Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra sounds fantastic when listened to with these earphones. Earphones are currently exhibiting their superb sound quality in upper frequencies, as well as their sub bass capabilities, on The Tubular Bells. They’ve been rolled off, yet I don’t feel deprived in any way. Those who are sensitive to strong or piercing sounds may find that the little roll-off in higher frequencies works to their advantage. To conclusion, these earphones are a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a well-balanced and immersive listening experience. When listening to classical music, for example, the upper frequencies of instruments such as violins and flutes are crystal clear but not overbearing, whereas the sub bass notes of a cello or double bass are still there and impactful. Meanwhile, when listening to dance music with powerful bass drops, the earbuds easily manage them without sacrificing clarity in the higher frequency range.

Hifiman RE-400 Review Conclusions

In the end, the Hifiman RE-400 stands out as a great pair of in-ear monitors that have great sound quality and are comfortable to wear. Its balanced and detailed sound signature gives a true representation of the music, letting listeners get lost in every nuance and subtlety of their favorite tracks. The RE-400 is made with a level of craftsmanship that is hard to find in its price range. This means that it will last for a long time. Even though it doesn’t have some of the more advanced features found in higher-end models, the RE-400 does a great job at what it’s meant to do: it makes great sound that will please even the pickiest audiophiles. Overall, the Hifiman RE-400 is a great choice for music lovers who want high-quality in-ear monitors but don’t want to spend a lot of money. A modern day counterpart can be Kiwi Ears Cadenza.
