Tronsmart Sounfii NC 2 Hybrid ANC: TWS Revolution on a Budget?
Disclaimer:
Good morning readers, Tronsmart sent me its new TWS headphones, the Tronsmart Sounfii NC 2 Hybrid ANC. They have very interesting specifications, although some details about the 10 mm dynamic driver are missing. I couldn’t find any information about the diaphragm used. This omission aside, at under $40, the product seems particularly interesting. The specifications mention three microphones per side, LDAC support, and all-new gesture controls.
Table Of Content
However, the review will still be 100% honest and in no way biased.
I’m not an audiophile; I’m just a guy that likes to test out different IEMs and DACs and spends a lot of time listening to music.
So I’m not going to use super-technical words to review it, but I will do my best to describe it.

Packaging:

The packages of the Tronsmart brand are always made of very rigid cardboard; the quality and care of the packaging already make you understand that the product contained is of good quality. Inside, we have fewer things than usual.
- 1 x Charging Case
- 6 x Ear Tips (XS/S/M/L/XL)
- 1 x Quick Start Guide
- 1 x USB-C Charging Cable
- 1 x Warranty Card

The Eartips come with a good package, although the material seems a bit slippery. They’re perfectly usable. However, they’re missing a small carrying bag.
Design/Build Quality:

At first glance, the Tronsmart Soundfii NC 2 may not seem like the best quality, but it’s actually just the case finish that gives it that feeling. The choice of that rubberized matte finish feels a lot like rubber that becomes sticky over time (I hope not). It looks different to me than rubber that wears out after a few years, but the fact remains that it’s not the best choice. On the front of the case, there are four large white LEDs that indicate the charge level, below is the Type-C port, and above is the logo. On the back, there’s a reset button. The two earbuds, on the other hand, look a bit bulky, but they’re actually not bothersome at all; the nozzle is oval like the eartips.

I noticed with some surprise that they forgot the status LED on the earbuds. Overall, each earbud has three built-in microphones for noise cancellation. It doesn’t have auto-pause because it lacks the sensor that allows for automatic mute. However, on the two stems, there are Force sensors, which are, I must say, very comfortable and unique.
Force sensors:

In these Tronsmart Sounfii NC 2 headphones, they’ve implemented this innovation. Basically, there’s a sort of recess in the two stems (the thin parts of the TWS) that hides a pressure sensor. To turn up the volume, you have to slide your finger from one end to the other, going up or down depending on the desired volume. To use the controls, however, you have to literally squeeze the stems. It’s really cool, and honestly, it could still be improved, but it works really well. I think that by improving this technology and making it slightly more sensitive, we can reach the right compromise. Currently, you have to press firmly, but there will definitely be no accidental touches.
Tronsmart App:
There are no alien technologies, but they have an accompanying app. The Tronsmart app allows you to manage, above all, the equalizer. I personally created a personalized EQ, managed any firmware updates, and, above all, modified the controls as you like. There are no special features regarding these TWS. The app lets you control the ANC level or transparency mode, and you can also select whether to use the most stable codec or the highest quality one. You can also customize gestures.
Battery:

The declared battery life is very abundant, in fact the real one depends on various factors such as average listening volume and above all the codec used but in both cases the battery life thanks to BT 6.0 is very high.
Fit & Comfort:

The Trosnamart Sounfii NC 2 are very light, so they’re very comfortable. Although they look a little bulky at first glance, I can assure you they’re comfortable. The included eartips come in a variety of sizes, and you’ll definitely find one that’s right for you, although they’re not the best in terms of stability. I don’t think I’d be able to run with them without swapping for more stable eartips. In terms of passive isolation, I’ve heard better, but they make up for it significantly with ANC.
Phone calls & ANC:
I made a few calls and can’t complain about the quality. I could hear them well, and they could hear me well. But for the ultimate microphone test, I tested the wind noise using a hair dryer. For some reason, wind suppression works better with a less aggressive ANC than the maximum setting, but I can tell you that it works very well, even considering the price.
Equipment used for the testing:
Device:
- Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G (LDAC & AAC)
Software:
- Amazon Music UHD 24-bit 96 kHz
Sound impressions:
Tronsmart follows a V-shaped style with fairly pronounced bass and sub-bass, although in terms of quality, the texture isn’t top-notch. I’d say it’s above average for the price, but in some cases, the bass isn’t particularly clean. For this test, I used the preset intended by Tronsmart.
Overall, the sound is quite immersive and well-presented, with clarity and rich detail. As far as budget TWS goes, these are definitely the best I’ve tried in this price range.
Treble
The Sounfii NC 2’s treble is good, in my opinion, and just the right amount to avoid making them tiring to listen to. Details come through easily, and you can follow various sparks with reasonable precision. If the track is particularly spicy, the treble might show some sibilance, but it was so rare that I can assure you they are sibilance-free.
Mids
Despite their V-shaped nature, vocals explode particularly forward with a remarkable vividness that makes the tracks very enjoyable. I must say I didn’t have high expectations, but I honestly can’t say that these TWS don’t sound good. Furthermore, on my smartphone I can activate Dolby Atmos and the sound literally comes to life with an almost holographic representation that would make sets twice the price envious.
Bass
The bass, in some cases, especially at maximum volume, occasionally bleeds through the mids. Perhaps the amplification power isn’t keeping up with the drivers, and so they lose some composure, but this only happens on some tracks and not always. It could also be related to the recording quality.
These TWS are more fun than technical, but even if they’re not top-of-the-line, they manage to entertain in a surprisingly skillful way, making listening on the go extremely satisfying.
Soundstage & Imaging:
They have excellent staging capabilities, although I had to help them with Dolby to unleash their potential. Normally, the soundstage width is quite limited but very deep. The image is quite accurate with good macro detail, but it lacks a bit of sparkle and some micro details are lost. Overall, they’re very inexpensive and offer a lot.
Conclusion:
In my opinion, Tronsmart will increasingly close the gap with its competitors. This year, I believe we’ll see even better products, and these are proof that TWS headphones are evolving and improving their overall quality while remaining affordable for the masses. My first TWS headphones were Tronsmart headphones, and I can only appreciate their evolution so far. The Tronsmart Sounfii NC 2 is a budget-friendly product with some mid-range features, making it a very good value for money TWS that I recommend especially to young people and those on a budget.

Q/A:
Who is the Tronsmart Sounfii NC 2 for?
Are you short on cash but want a good product backed by a respectable brand? This is the product for you. The sound is quite refined but leans more towards the fun side than the technical, but with the various adjustments via the app, you can tweak it to your liking. Casual users and even commuters or travelers, I think, would really appreciate this product.
Who should avoid the Tronsmart Sounfii NC 2?
If you’re looking for the ultimate wireless weapon, you might want to look at higher-end products. If you’re into sports, there are models like the Tronsmart OpenFly 2 Pro that make outdoor activities safer with a few compromises.
