Disclaimer:

Hello readers, this time Fiio sent me the Snowsky Anywhere, a small portable speaker with a very cute and compact look—an entry-level product for those who want to listen to music without headphones everywhere. I have already tried a similar model recently, the Trosnamrt Mirtune H1, and it was a model that I liked. At first glance, I think the Tronsmart model has something more to offer in terms of power.

I’m not going to use super technical words to review it, but I will do my best to describe it.

Colorful and lively packaging, it seems like a product oriented more towards young people. The Snowsky Anywhere has a simple package with just the essentials inside, namely, a Portable Speaker, a charging cable, a carabiner (for the backpack), and the manuals.

Honestly, for the product category, the equipment is right.

Design/Build Quality:

In terms of design and build quality, the Snowsky Anywhere is a FiiO product, therefore, with a fairly high build quality. The product is well assembled in all its parts and perfectly finished. On the front, we have the fabric grille with the logo that hides a 45mm driver. It is not known whether there is a passive radiator on the back. Usually, if present, it is communicated, but in this case, even the power of the driver is omitted.

Magnet base

Practical and embossed buttons on the upper part allow for simple and immediate management of the speaker.

Excellent hook to attach the carabiner to the belt or backpack. Under the strap, we find the Type-C port hidden for charging.

Built-in Technology:

Snowsky Anywhere buttons + LED

There is not a lot of technology in the Snowsky Anywhere; it is a simple product. We find a Bluetooth 5.4 (low consumption), a magnetic base to attach it to ferrous bases. For example, it lacks an App for equalization, something that the Mirtune H1 has. It must be said that with such a small driver, the equalization possibilities are very limited.

Equipment used for testing:

Device:

  • Poco M4 Pro

Software:

  • Amazon Music UHD 24bit 96kHz

Sound impressions:

Snowsky Anywhere on grass

Given its size, the Snowsky Anywhere certainly cannot sound like a huge speaker; you have to take into account the product you have in front of you, and as such, it is an ultra-portable speaker. In terms of sound, obviously, the low range is almost absent. The maximum volume is not very loud but more controlled. It does not sound bad and does not disappoint expectations; a single driver cannot give more.

What is perhaps missing is a passive radiator on the back, but listening carefully, I believe it has one on the back. It has a sound signature that is not bassy, but tends more towards the medium-high range.

Fast comparison:

vs Tronsmart Mirtune H1

Hooked

Tronsmart certainly has more extensive knowledge in terms of portable speakers; the small Mirtune H1 is proof of this; it costs a little more but has a driver that, in my opinion, is more capable and powerful. The wattage is important to write in the specifications, even if it is now a race for numbers, I believe that the Mirtune H1 has 8W for real. It also certainly has two passive radiators that do a more than honest job. The presence of an app and the integrated carabiner complete an excellent product. In terms of aesthetics and design, the Snowsky is more pleasant and colorful.

Conclusion:

Snowsky Anywhere + Dog

Snowsky is an emerging brand, and this is their first portable speaker, so it is reasonable that it is a cheap product, especially if you have to test the market. The product is beautiful, functional, and allows you to listen to music in a carefree way with friends and not. The price is under 30 USD for shipping to Europe, so I can deduce that in China, the product could even reach 20 USD. For the asking price, it is an excellent product, but at the moment, the market is really very saturated with similar products.
