Now a brief introduction to Tanchjim Echo TWS and vs of the closest competitor Tanchjim Echo vs Final ZE3000 TWS here. TWS is the abbreviation of True Wireless Stereo and they were highly behind an iem of the same price but very high in market due to their prices and mobile functionabilities. See a brief glimpse of those here: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tws&crid=1VC5ABA9LU70B&sprefix=tws%2Caps%2C568&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
Echo is the beryllium coated diaphragm TWS which had 32 oHm impedance. The FR graph on its box says around 80 dB, not so bright, slightly low end boosted, flat mid and boosted upper mids + low treble. I didn’t see any spikes that could damage the listening comfort. Plus the abundance of treble region is hinting at its bright and potentially tiring extended listen9ngs. All was my speculation based on the FR graph. But best I listen right?
I took off the tws units out of its lightly pulsing cradle. The pairing was instantaneous. I started my usual testing track Limehouse Blues. Hiss is almost zero. While there is no app to control it, it’s quite evident that this TWS is built for music! You have simple touch controls too. In stage transparency is great for a tws. Bass of the bass guitar isn’t boomy. The vibrato is sounding at ascending and descending frequencies like it should. This is 3d imaging man!
And hearing the pub customers whenever possible was nice. The keyboard is smooth and fast like the other extensions are. The most treble concentrated moments of the song isn’t tiring in the end. Drummers hits on the drums sound like they should. Gentle hits on small surfaces give out a slightly sharp sound.
VS with Final ZE3000: Drum hits are thicker but the surface tension of the relatively small surface is easy to hear. Transparency is higher than Echo. And the clarinet is reaching higher notes. Vibrato is displaying more forward and IMO more tasty character. The cymbal extensions roll off slower than Echo. The keyboard is one notch brighter than Echo.
To cut this brief VS of Tanchjim Echo vs Final ZE3000 short; I can easily say that Ze3000 is producing a more balanced and dynamic sound than Echo. But Echo is not very inferior anyway. Maybe for the casual listener who was fine SQ. But one who is looking for absolute fun in TWS, should go to Noble Fokus Pro
