Now the Tin Hifi T1S is in front of me. A relatively fresh offering from the old and serious brand. The design is pretty self explaining. Its price is speaking for itself.
Sound
And the sound is so budget (SOB). SOB means somehow thin sounding, 4/10 clarity, layering and in other technical details. Thanks to TinHifi for keeping its timbre neutral to slightly bright. But I have to admit that flamenco influenced math rock isn’t its thing at budget levels;) You can have nice moments with Hotel California, Degiheugi and Alison Kraus..
Source is dx300 M gain 45/100 sound level. I used We Gotta Rise of Hollywood Vampires and I Didn’t Think She Would Do It for Joe Bonamassa for this brief review.
At We Gotta Rise the bass is calm but the resolution is so so. Clarity and layering too. I am not hearing the occasional flutes at this national anthem inspired track. Soundstage is somehow wide.
IDTSWDI performance is much better than above. The first thing that is different is this track recorded at a perfect recording studio. B’s words are slightly blurry but understandable. Treble at this rock track is not ear hurting.
Tin Hifi T1S Review Conclusions
More than decent iem we have here. Good for starters. But its very hard to say good for budget range because competition there is stiff and we have Salnotes Zero or Moondrop Chu or Tripowin Lea or many KBear new iems there.
