BLON BL-03 REVIEW

Far Easterners never stops! Now you will read 2019 Q4’s hype iem BL03’s review down here and it sounds quite good for its price. Let’s see how Blon BL-03 performs and how it fares against hype rival Semkarch CNT1.

  • 10mm Carbon Diaphragm Dynamic Drive
  • Impedance
  • 32Ω
  • Earphone sensitivity
  • 102dB/mW
  • Frequency response range
  • 20-20KHz
  • Plug Type
  • 3.5mm Gold Plated L Type
  • Cable length
  • 1.2m±3cm
  • Color
  • sliver/brown
  • Earphone Interface
  • 0.78mm 2pin

Box, Unboxing, Build Quality And Cable

Cardboard and transparent/white box usually makes difference compared to rectangular shaped aesthetic iem boxes. In the box as you see: raindrop shaped iems with mirror-like surface, vary of extra silicones, cable and canvas carrying case. Simple and sufficient. Build qualitywise, there’s no complication except overly angled long earhooks. Housing isn’t single piece but they assembled well and 2 pin QDC styled 0,78mm connectors are easy to insert. As we mentioned cable, it’s not legendary. But jack to connectors cable is 4 core cable, plastic L angled and strain reliefed. There’s a Y joint but there’s no chin slider.

Sound Quality

Bright, balanced, warm but transparent. It sounds out of your head. Not much detailed but sounds musical and natural. Driver is 10mm Carbon Dynamic Driver.

Blon BL-03 is U shaped fun sounding earphone. Especially preforms really good in rock, pop, hip hop ve EDM like genres.

Bass, Mid, Treble

Bass is fast and atmosphere is warm. Sub-bass looks strong and juicy in frequency graph. Also mid-bass thump is noticed. Bass volume isn’t thick, doesnt goes lower. Stays on surface and keeps the balance. There’s no punchy drum sounds on Pink Floyd – Hight Hopes as how it supposed to fit this musical genre.

In midrange, especially in Demir Demirkan styled Modern Rock tracks; bass guitar, rythm guitar, and drum bells may sound at same time while vocal sounds 1cm front of you. As it sounds exciting for a while, shouty atmosphere and extended treble may be exhausting but neutrality and instrument separation is insatiable.

Another thing about mids is forward sounding mids. BL-03 sounds little annoying especially on multi-instrumented tracks. There’s plenty of treble for rock-like genres. BUT treble isn’t sounding that bells’ resonating separately like Senfer EN700 Pro that we reviewed before, but you can ignore this on lively and dynamic musics.

Blon BL-03 Conclusion

With all positive and negative aspects and standartized tip & cable replacement aside; sounds really good for price with its energy, also knocks out its rival Semcarch SKC-CNT1.
I think every budget minded audiophile should have BLON BL-03.
