Behold iKKo Asgard Oh5 First Impressions are about to be declared.. To begin with, we have a one-of-a-kind design. It is rare to utilize ecliptic nozzles plus lithium magnesium diaphragm
First impressions will be made with the iPad Pro, and both tip pairs will be used. I won’t use foam tips of any kind for its first impressions. Tracks which took part here:
Polyphia Playing God
Jazz in the Pawnshop Limehouse Blues
Driving Hans Zimmer Live in Prague

I: Usual silicone tips

I am hearing a bodied guitar timbre with freakish details yet smooth presentation. 50/100 volume level isn’t creating distortions. 100/100 never did either.
Timbre is totally faithful to the live track’s background where it was recorded. You get dark and narrow timbre and soundscene in Limehouse Blues and you get a slightly dark, pretty wide and somehow lackluster instrument performance from the not so powerful and slightly muddy ipad pro Apple Music

II: Unusual silicone tips

I believe I am hearing a more sensitive iem that possesses an amount of brightness that allows it to be described as “bright” right away. The same amazing level of detail could be observed here. On the other hand, I cannot make the same claim for the body. It has a slighter sharpness to it and is more layerable. This is just an iPad Pro with a 3.5mm connector, thus you’ll need to find a dx300 with a 4.4mm port to pair it with. Oh, and the bass does not take up as much space in the mix as other iems does. It’s more of a low-level rumbling in the background.

You see where it got that name from. Asgard is the home of the Norse gods, comparable to Mount Olympus in Greece. ikko Asgard Oh5’s live-action performances are superb. The Pawnshop’s timbre is dark and boxy, as it should be (it’s a jazz pub in the 1970s, man), but Driving in Live in Prague isn’t a stadium-sized nighttime concert in my hearing field. I’ll listen to it again with the dx300 and 4.4 and compare. However, the cohesion of the entire mid segment is extremely fluid. It can reflect even a tiny change in any instrument and fantastic layering ability of vocals These are heartwarming.
You’ve read the results of the iKKo Asgard Oh5 first impressions. My favorite is the unusual (reverse?) tips because it combines technology and fun. Yours might vary. Stay tuned for its comprehensive review like Moondrop Variations that is reviewed lately.
