Brief but critically listening speaking; 01 is better than 05s in many iem evaluation terms IMO. But the fit is 2 steps backward to 03 days. The cable is too.
You have to hear many background details (instruments) at this song. 05s is lifeless at this field compared to 01. An early roll off? Probably.
I am already suprised extensively with vk4. This iem did not wow me but it deserves a thumbs up in Blon tradition. Direct comparisons with vk4 will follow up 👋👋 And this Blon bl-01 vs Blon bl-05s was the first VS. Blon bl-01 vs Vk4 will follow up. Ps a comment from my favourite page NBBA:
I swapped out the cables and used Inverted KZ Starline ear tips. The bass is strong, tight and well controlled without being uncomfortably boomy.
I’m liking the sound so far and it is quite musical. Its very easy for a newcomer to take to it and might a decent recommendation for someone who’s starting out.
I noticed that the experience might be more average if you don’t use an amp. Will have to test that a little more.
