Birth of a legend
TRN MT1 Review is here at last after all my rightfully hyping. One of the rare moments on iem history to see many with a same idea. It’s brutally good for its price. Yeah, can get confused at multi passages or very fast tracks (BPM +10). But let me remind you that this is a 5$ (when bought in a double pack of 10 bucks) price tagged iem. I think this price tag might let you forego all of its “sins.” I mean minus sides.
Box, TRN MT1, Cable
Box is so KZ-like. So not worth mentioning.
MT1 itself is a polycarbon transparent water drop 3d printed shaped iem with color options, replaceable cable and so ergonomic. Almost nobody mentioned of it hurting at extended music sessions.
Cable is generic and standart unlike the sound is. A braided and thin black iem cable with earhooks in plastics. No Y split piece. Very okay for the price.
Sound
First technicalities. Timbre is neutral/warm. Organic too. Layering is well crafted and stage is drawing you in. Playing forward but not to the extent of ks2. More than decent instrument seperation and good clarity. Sibilance is rarely heard of. And 3d imaging is higher than its price.
Qkz Vk4 vs TRN Mt1
VK is “immature version” of MT1 and MT1 while tagged cheaper, fuller and resolving and dynamic, the last call is up to the listener.
KZ Zsn Pro X vs TRN Mt1
As for MT1, you can think as the polar opposite of Zsn Pro X. And sprinkle naturalism, extensions, comfort. I won’t be writing down same things again. But I must record that if ZPX is at 7/10 brightness, MT is at 4/10 whereas Final E1k is at 1/10 level
KZ Edx vs TRN MT1
I am closing the curtains..Last shot. My ultimate test at reviews as I personally know all these instruments well.
MT is more convincing (for under 10 bucks) at this one without doubdts. Every instrument is more like their real timbres and extensions.
Final E1K vs TRN MT1
The legendary e1k which was better than most sub 100$ iems, now not bow down but nod its head to MT1.
TRN MT1 Review Conclusions
Here we have a miraculous iem for its price. Me personally had heard / reviewed more then 250 iems before but none of them cought this price to performance ratio..Pretty good unless you listen over-complex tracks or tracks with a pace of over than 100BPM. If you want to experience MT1 too here is the seller I bought.
