TRN’s newest iem CS3 is here at my bench. Looks are partially very old KZ (shaker like air ventings) and partially Moondrop Quarks. (This one is clad in light metal unlike Quarks) %60 volume at v30 is nearly high sound off v30
Bass is boomy and the soundstage is extremely wide. Clarity is somewhat ok and generally speaking better than nice at electronic music (at genres where V curve is normal)
Has thick meat at all musics. And in mixes of Alice Cooper he is with you with tonality 🙂 However the layering, clarity, resolution is lower than I expected.
But wait a minute. With that less than $10 tag, I have nothing more to complain 🙂 I guess we have found a new daily driver after TRN MT1 . Truly better than no name ali iems.
