The Mangird Xenns Top is an IEM that immediately catches your attention, both visually and sonically. With its stunning design featuring shimmering faceplates and an ergonomic build, it promises a premium experience right out of the box. But it’s not just about aesthetics—this hybrid IEM boasts a sophisticated driver configuration aimed at delivering precise, detailed audio reproduction. After spending some time with it, I’ll take you through my experience, from unboxing to its technical performance and my listening impressions.

Unboxing Experience

I received Mangird Xenns Top as a loaner, so I can’t fill those sections in. But, due to the comfortable strage box like Salnotes Dioko, the core section looks solid.

Technical Analysis

The Mangird Xenns Top features a hybrid driver setup that combines 8 balanced armature (BA) drivers with 1 dynamic driver (DD). The ultra-high frequencies are handled by Knowles 32406 BA drivers, while the high frequencies utilize E50D BA units. Sonion 2600 series BA drivers take charge of the upper-midrange, and a 10mm beryllium-coated dynamic driver delivers powerful, textured bass.

On a technical level, the Xenns Top excels in several areas:

1. Soundstage & Imaging: The soundstage is wide and open, offering excellent spatial awareness. Instruments are well-separated and positioned, creating a realistic and immersive listening experience.

2. Detail Retrieval: Micro-details shine through, especially in complex tracks. The BA drivers excel at capturing subtle nuances, from delicate treble textures to intricate midrange layering.

3. Bass Impact: The dynamic driver delivers a satisfying low-end response, with sub-bass that feels deep and controlled without overshadowing other frequencies.

Sound Analysis of Mangird Xenns Top

Bass

The bass is handled beautifully by the beryllium-coated driver, offering depth and control. Sub-bass has a physical presence that adds weight to tracks without becoming muddy or bloated. Mid-bass is tight and punchy, making it perfect for genres like electronic and rock. It’s not an overly bass-heavy IEM, but the low-end feels natural and refined, adding just the right amount of warmth to the overall sound signature.

Midrange

The midrange is where the Xenns Top shines. Vocals are forward and lifelike, with a richness that feels organic. Whether it’s the soulful timbre of a jazz vocalist or the raw emotion in a rock ballad, the mids are presented with a level of detail and intimacy that pulls you into the music. Instruments like guitars and pianos have excellent tonal accuracy, making this a strong contender for midrange enthusiasts.

Treble

The treble is crisp, smooth, and well-extended. It avoids harshness, even in tracks with bright cymbal crashes or high-pitched vocals. There’s a nice balance here—it’s airy and detailed without feeling sharp or fatiguing, which is crucial for long listening sessions. Tracks with intricate treble work, like classical or jazz, benefit from the Mangird Xenns Top’s ability to reproduce high frequencies with precision.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Excellent soundstage and imaging

• Balanced, detailed sound signature

• Rich and engaging midrange

• Controlled and textured bass

• Premium build quality and design

Cons

• Slightly large shell may not fit smaller ears perfectly

• Treble might lack sparkle for those who prefer brighter tuning

• Price point could feel high for some users

Conclusion for Mangird Xenn Top Review

The Mangird Xenns Top is an IEM that blends technical excellence with musicality, offering a listening experience that feels both refined and enjoyable. Its hybrid driver configuration delivers on its promise of detailed, balanced sound across all frequencies, while the design and build quality reinforce its premium status. Whether you’re an audiophile seeking precision or a casual listener who values musical engagement, the Xenns Top strikes a compelling balance between the two. While it may not be for those looking for extreme brightness or an ultra-compact design, it stands as a worthy choice for anyone looking to invest in high-quality audio gear. For me, it’s a keeper.
