The most recent Letshuoer that will be first impressioned is DZ4. Even though it has 4 DD (3 DD + bass radiator), the bass actually vibrates when you play electronic music, and it has pretty good musicality without bleeding bass. It actually is a feat only xxx priced iems displayed before. I can write down that the timbre is a bit metallic and bright (at MBA2022), but neutral and dark (at ipad 10+Shio), which shows that it is neutral. And it’s way better than the old D13
Drivers: 3*6mm Titanium Dome Dynamic Driver + 6mm Passive Radiator
Sensitivity: 104dB/mw (1kHz)
Impedance: 12Ω±1 (1kHz)
Distortion ≤3% (1kHz)
3D imaging is great for what it costs and what it can do. With the addition of the back plate has grills, the soundstage is big in all directions, but not as big as with an open back. And the way the bass is resolved can sometimes show DD genes. But the resolution as a whole is high, and if you nitpick the details, the previous statement is true. I gotta admit that it tickles the basshead monster in you.
I changed the S-sized balanced eartips, the iFi GO bar, and the MBA2022 in the hope of a balanced sound. Now, indeed, it’s actually in balance. Things that were robust at M tips are currently delicate. Yet, other features remained the same, such as layering. The sound has been much improved with the S-sized balanced eartips, iFi GO bar, and MBA2022. The M tips had their advantages, but now they appear fragile in comparison. Nonetheless, the general depth and complexity of the music—including layering—remains the same, guaranteeing a steady listening experience.
Conclusion of Letshuoer DZ4 First Impressions
While the retail price is still undecided, the DZ4 outperforms the D13 in terms of power and efficiency, making it the preferable choice. It could appear that having a neutral sound while also placing a significant focus on bass is an impossible combination, yet it hasn’t stopped Letshuoer from achieving their goal. And helped them in their efforts to serve another honorable iem who came after Galileo, and after the planar iem who already reached legendary status called S12.
Its review with the comparison with Letshuoer Galileo will probably land next Sunday. Stay tuned and read the Chris’ mighty review of Hidizs MS3.
