The BQEYZ Lin, featuring the Conexant CX31993 chip, bridges the gap between affordability and high performance, making it a solid budget option in the DAC adapter market. At first glance, its compact and portable design might lead you to underestimate its potential, but my initial listening sessions proved otherwise. The Lin offers a level of resolution, frequency balance, and soundstage that feels more premium than its price tag suggests just like BQEYZ Frost they released. It has a knack for revealing fine details and delivering dynamic sound, leaving me eager to push its limits with more headphones and music genres.

Sound Performance

The BQEYZ Lin’s CX31993 chip delivers a clean and natural sound profile, with a tonal balance that feels neutral and well-rounded. Bass, mids, and treble flow smoothly without overshadowing each other. Highs are crisp and detailed, offering a level of precision that pairs exceptionally well with brighter IEMs like the Letshuoer S12. While the bass is tight and controlled, it lacks the weight and depth needed for power-hungry, high-impedance headphones. Resolution is impressive, drawing out micro-details effortlessly, though the soundstage and layering don’t quite reach the level of high-end DACs.

When paired with the Letshuoer S12, the Lin shines by softening the S12’s brightness and delivering a more cohesive, refined sound. Tracks like Skillet’s “Save Me” benefit from the Lin’s ability to tighten bass while maintaining clarity, even during complex passages. On post-hardcore tracks like “6xLove,” the Lin keeps up with the genre’s intense and fast-paced dynamics, making fiery transitions feel engaging and vivid. Compared to Celest ‘s CD-20, the Lin trades some of the brightness for a more versatile and balanced treble response, suiting a wider range of genres.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Clean and neutral tonality with excellent detail retrieval.

• Compact, durable design with premium silver-plated copper cables.

• Wide headphone compatibility (16Ω–600Ω).

• Outstanding value for the price.

• Handles dynamic, fast-paced tracks with ease.

Cons

• Limited depth and power for high-impedance headphones.

• Treble can feel slightly softened, reducing airiness in some tracks.

• Faces strong competition from similarly priced adapters like JCALLY and Penon.

BQEYZ Lin Review Conclusion

The BQEYZ Lin proves that budget-friendly doesn’t have to mean basic. Its neutral sound signature, refined detail, and dynamic performance make it an impressive choice for budget conscious portable audio enthusiasts. While it won’t replace high-end DACs for those chasing ultimate resolution or expansive soundstage, the Lin is perfect for anyone looking to elevate their listening experience without breaking the bank.

Whether it’s delivering the fiery energy of post-hardcore or the subtle intricacies of acoustic ballads, the Lin consistently offers clarity, control, and a touch of musicality. You won’t regret the price you pay.
