The BR adopts a 10mm single dynamic driver that has a PET diaphragm in it. The driver is enclosed in a plastic housing that comes in a single color namely the Cyan. The stock cable is the OFC copper cable that inherits the 2 pin 0.75mm type c orientation. The presentation of the product appears barebone but considering the price of 6 USD it justifies it.
AUDIOCULAR BR SOUND ANALYSIS:
BR has a near to balanced sound profile and if to be precise it delivers a mild V shaped profile. This has a very upfront presentation making this enjoyable for podcasts and vocals. Technicalities are average with not so distinct separation and clarity. Tone appears dry and brighter with lack of lushness to the overall presentation. The sound however has a vivid and dynamic taste to it for an aggressive listening.
BASS PROFILE:
- BR has an adequate amount of low end to the presentation that’s quite enough to satisfy the listener.
- The distinction between the sub and mid bass section is vague due to poor track separation.
- The vague separation led to congested bass presence and it made it difficult to separate out the kick drums and the bass guitar strings.
- BR has a looser bass response that’s not precise in decay making them appear not under control.
- The rumble gets overshadowed by the uncontrolled mid bass section.
- The mid bass section lacks the weight and impact due to its loose texture.
- BR does provide a richer quantity of bass while sacrificing on the quality aspect.
MID SECTION:
- BR has an upfront presentation making the vocals to come forward providing an engaging experience.
- The background instruments do get the proper attention with enough presence.
- Tone appears to be brighter and dry making the instruments appear artificial and lifeless.
- There’s a noticeable upper mid range emphasis making the female vocals and high hats sound a tad sharper.
- The lower mid section carries adequate warmth yet it lacks the lushness for a fuller presentation.
TREBLE SECTION:
- The treble extension in the BR is done in an elegant way, retrieving the essential nuances from the tracks.
- The added extension does provide the adequate brightness to the BR enabling them to sound bright enough.
- Though there’s adequate brightness due to the lack of separation, the BR struggles in the complex tracks to deliver the treble section.
- The timbre being brighter and dry made the percussion instruments sound artificial and metallic.
TECHNICALITIES:
STAGING, IMAGING AND LAYERING:
BR has mediocre technical aspects that includes the staging, imaging and layering. Being on the upfront presentation side, the stage feels intimate with improper layering presence.
The cramped up separation led to poor layering which made the placement of instruments appear irregular.
DETAIL RETRIEVAL, TONE AND TIMBRE:
The detail retrieval is mediocre in the BR while only delivering the essential nuances out of the track.
The tone and timbre appears bright and dry making them sound more artificial than being natural.
AUDIOCULAR BR VERDICT:
Audiocular BR, the latest offering from the sub brand of CONCEPTKART is an ultra budget package that comes with a consumer friendly signature in a simple layout. The BR adopts a single 10mm dynamic driver with PET diaphragm enclosed in a plastic shell. The stock cable is a OFC copper cable that feels fone for the retailing price.
The sound delivered by the BR focuses towards the masses that concentrates on the mild V shaped signature with a bright and dry tonality. BR has the bass that’s rich in quantity while it lacks the quality which made them sound congested, uncontrolled and less textured. The mid section is presented forward with upper mid emphasis that sometimes reaches the point of harshness while the lower mids suffer from the lack of lushness though it has the adequate warmth. The treble section is neatly elevated giving adequate brightness to the presentation while the dry timbre made the percussion sound artificial.
Technical aspects appear average in the BR with mediocre layering and intimate staging. Detail retrieval is good for the price, extracting essential nuances out of the track.
The Audiocular BR is an ultra budget package with a mild V shaped profile concentrated towards the mass audience. It’s a very STRAIGHT FORWARD package that leaves no space to complain about the product considering the price of 6 USD.
