Shuoer D13 Details
Size factor is tiny and circle shaped. Nozzle is short and the lips are large. This is giving us a very easy time in tip rolling. Air venting is accomplished by 3 sizeable venting holes. A must for the DD it is housing because a dynamic driver needs air to create sound.
L and R separation is very clear and box contents are rich. The cable is looking slimmer yet braided and processed. And 2 pinned retractable. But terminations are either 3.5 or 4.4. Keep your hopes low, the world isn’t ready to see modular cables in these prices yet. The slimness is reaching to its connectors as well.

Sound@First Impressions
We are using the same black bored eartips that gave out enjoyable sound in S12 and only 3 songs from our reference battery and a bonus song to focus on its technicalities.
The sound is reminiscent of its planar brother albeit this is DD. And the sound is aimed towards fun. 40/100 of dx300 is nearly high volume for it. This is telling us a thing or two about it’s power need.
Its sound is very good with a big flexibility, in short…But in long; dynamics, 3d imaging, speed and quality across the whole spectrum is high. Speed is weirdly high regarding DDs. Because they were known for their sluggishness before and only BA’s were okay for smooth jazz. The only caveat so far is it’s having a hard time portraying the jazz club behind every musician. However while this is very common in DD iem, being forward presentation, neutral to dark timbre, controlled (as a DD of ~$100 can be) basses and high instrument separation is very helpful in smooth jazz. All of the above was smooth jazz. A very hard genre to be good and faithful(to the record) while keeping fun. Here we observe good implementation of DLC tech (despite having a huge DD) Now let’s see it in electronics and math rock of complex rhythms.
At Knife Party Centipede; after the HQ intro, and the climb up, the eye peeling bass begins with a hint of metallicness at electronic trebles. Pretty strong at basses, thumpy at MAX. But tiring in the long run due to its forward nature.
Playing God has well defined double kicks + strong bass hits of the drum and pretty high yet slightly smooth 3 guitar seperation. Although not analytical like fleshless skeletons, the bossa nova part of this song is mellow like clouds above but this comfort is resulting in layering miss outs of guitars. Like you can hear an exact guitar effect just because you know its there.In the tech and critical heavy song of Tubular Bells, basses that are rumbling beneath are faintly heard and sub bass tactile feedback is only slight but the whole other parts of the spectrum is alive with enthusiasm. Changes in tonality are conceivable. And the stress of guitar strings are full of life.So the first impressions end. Enough talk for the first sight. Previous findings above were solid. Time to throw more time and review proven tracks at Shuoer D13 since it showed great potential.
Live records are actually live with D13. It appears like we are just IN the stage. This is a plus in terms of immersion (width of soundstage) but negative at the same time. We couldn’t feel the majesty of a huge stadium concert.
However it’s latest driver and meticulously done tuning is pretty good at portraying instruments. And bass guitar specifically. Combined with normally undynamic fast extensions, you can have an eargasm in its forward presentation. With its silent background, listening live is tasty with Shuoer D13. The piston like basses at Electro Suite is a sight to see. However, the blown instrument is slightly subdued. Whispers as well. Another caveat with DD. But exploding with power and basses pound literally when the track says so. Dynamics are a great benefit of neutrality.
The same neutrality is able to give you more kind basses at Madonna! I’ll Remember of Madonna is full with a casual pop music instruments and a relaxed smooth sensation. No sibilance in her or in vocalists that can be pointed out if you care.
Trash metal is full of separation and realism. Short splashes of treble and drums in this very fast paced genre. But Kraftwerk is full with cleverly hidden details which Shuoer D13 is capable of unearthing.
Amorphis – From The Heaven Of My Heart is showing that the distortion of Electric guitars isn’t tiring. Underlying solo can be picked and tracked even when not staged front. The drums and his treble sub instruments chime without hindrance.
Gaming: Immersion all the way. It was like being IN an action movie. However this action packed time is not that good for critical gaming listens. You hear the gunshots, feel in fact, but not in the level of a huge multi DD iem.

Conclusions
Our journey with Shuoer D13 showed a very fun iem with above average (not excellent) technicalities. Thus its a good rec for anybody ready to part with $100. And having the capacity to sound good without sibilance in all main genres of music is making it a strong and controlled bassed all arounder.
