KBear Rosefinch is honoring us with its presence. It is the last of the birdie Trilogy beginning with Lark and continuing with Robin and now KBear Rodefinch. Let’s see how it sounds like.
Pros__
Face grinning explosive bass
Large soundstage
Budget
Cons__
Unsuitable bass for some genres
Lack the 3d imaging
Ordinary cable
Box, KBear Rosefinch, Cable
Fit is easy and comfortable like the Lark and Robin before. Design looks like the other two. But cable insertion is a little hard in my case. And the cable is fairly standard. Disappointing? Not at all if you take this as the last of the Trio.
Sound
With %60 volume on ipad pro 2015 I am getting a pretty large scene on all dimensions at Driving. Layering is good. Basses are somehow clouded but extensions exist.
Pawnshop is meh due to its boomy bass that is clouding the clarinet. Speed of extensions are helping the 3d imaging here. It’s forward presentation is debatable in live smooth jazz.
Skrillex basses are impressive in shape and resonances. Just like a maul (yeah not hammer) hitting you. Yet leaving room for effects albeit they are slightly recessed. I am playing my bass reference track following the lead of Skrillex. I am having one the most head wobbling and stomach shaking basses off ipad pro ever! This-is-bass-cannon! But keeping control up to a degree.
And lastly to check my words about the bass I am starting my old favourites of 2004; Morrissey – Irish Blood, English Heart and First of the Gang to Die. Song of mids (low), dark timbre and laid back presentation. Morrissey’s voice has an unique texture like Mercury had. Theme should be dramatic. But I am getting a neutral to bright timbre, washed down vocal texture and forward presentation..something is looking off :/ and the treble is nothing special here.
(The revelation was about the volume level. After dragging the volume slider down to like %45, timbre+texture is proper now save the slight brightness and his not so gentle vocal [%40 nails it. Now I am hearing the old Morrissey])
KBear Rosefinch Review Conclusions
First was Lark, then Robin and last Rosefinch. They are all small birds in nature. Small birds don’t have the impressive beaks and huge wings and lifting off power BUT they are known to be the loudest singing and most ferocious animals in the world of birds.
Our lovely brand of KBear, which incorporated nature elements in their products, are probably ending bird Trilogy with Rosefinch. Now we are looking at the future sub theme and results in the future. But my advice is; don’t look up!
Thanks to keephifi for the review sample.
