Welcome to one of the budget stars of the Q4 of 2022 named as Tin Hifi C2. Its like seeing an old friend after a long while. Let’s look at its sonic details below. First are my 0 minute thoughts. The sound and frequency specific sections are the results of critical listening. I thank HifiGO for the unit.
My impression is that the presentation is well-balanced and objective, maintaining a comfortable gap between what might be described as laid back and forward. The use of basses in electronic music is neither explosive nor incompatible with the genre. The term of thumpy has been provided a new budget form of life in C2. And the neutrality of it does not bother you in any way. Layering is at budget level. When there are three layers of vocals or a male chorus singing, the vocals are not rough at all and sound as smooth as silk. Slipknot is also capable of shouting all of their wrath while maintaining a tone that is not completely flat out. On the other hand, it is highly praised to be able to hear and understand the lines of a screamo-style vocal. And the weak vocals in “Stairway to Heaven” are a perfect example of hi-fi.

Layering isn’t great
Tonality and Texturing is a little weak
The Sound
Soundstage is pretty wide. Body is not filling your hearing space, its only neutral to the record. Layering is like %60. They weren’t apparent in casual listening, but critical listening is the secret word. However, not hearing specific details on some specific songs is calling its price, even if the PU+LCP Composite Diaphragm was a significant improvement in the performance of, say, the Astrotec Vesna for a dirt cheap price. Thus it can lead to cramped moments. And can fail to convey some violin textures in less-than-ideal recordings. Extensions are moderately fast. Even tough this is hurting its 3d imaging, you get what you pay for.
Bass
Neutrality of it is adorable. Not hearing unnecessary bass in that price bracket is rare. So, you won’t hear bass in tango music because there are no instruments that produce bass other than some notes in the low registers of stringed instruments or the keyboard. However, in the songs that call for it, you get just enough bass to create air pressure. However, their presence casts a shadow on details and layers, due in part to the inadequacy of its driver and in part to the slight bass bleed. Thank you; otherwise, the entire experience would be ruined. But, in my specific bass test track, its basses show their full potential and create an atmosphere in which you remember what thumpy is.
Mid
Mid is where its technicalities and vocals lie. Nothing is ground shaking brilliant here. BUT Tin Hifi C2 is proficient in sounding just like its price. This is solid. No pushing forward and trying to appear like how it isn’t. And it looks like dynamism is the main element that is neglected in its formula. Sometimes I wished it had a better texturing capacity too. Well, this is not 0 but hearing a dark timbre in Death of the Celts wouldn’t hurt. I think it is a good IEM for casual listening.
Treble
The treble range is not greatly limited in Tin Hifi C2 at all. On the other hand, the fact that they aren’t extremely textural at the same time might make this courage a difficulty at times. And there are moments when it may seem as though it only exists in two dimensions. However, if we’re talking about the bigger picture, an additional inch of treble quality would make a difference.
Comparisons
Celest Pandamon: Driving will be noticeably easier in this vehicle. The music and all of its delicate details are filling up your hearing area, yet the body of the song and its tiny elements may at times be too much for you to hear clearly. It should be noted that this is not the same as the Tin Hifi C2 (wasn’t it the subject of my ranting and raving?) In addition to that, the trebles have an unnatural feel to them, which can be heard.
QoA Gimlet: Even if there has been a little improvement in the projection of tiny details, the trebles are still quite lacking. It is possible to observe a soundstage that is as wider than C2. In comparison to other instruments, drums are more lightweight, yet they nevertheless manage to generate a deeper and booming sound. Although the technical features aren’t notably superior to those of the C2, the Mech Warrior, this model is noticeably less airy than the C2.
Tin Hifi C2 Review
Verdict
An old pal we had reviewed in many different faces and names is seen reawakening inside a steel casing. Naturally, it also has certain drawbacks to consider. However, considering that it costs $29, it is working far better than expected. The performance of Tin Hifi C2, which received a grade of B, is a tribute to the good old days. One of the most satisfying aspects of using Tin Hifi C2 is getting a good tuning with some tip rolling, which enables them to be used in a variety of situations. Having a good quantity of details and a punchy bass will keep you entertained for a lengthy period of time.
