After EMR2’s under the radar flight, the brand decided to climb to higher altitudes. EA500 is their first attempt while keeping the price lower than its father. Using a 10mm DD with a 4th generation DLC composite material diaphragm, and the addition of tuning rings, the sound you hear is customizable. (A nod to Joyodio Shine) Now let’s look at its sound, technicalities, and comparisons.

The packaging is nice from the top and great at the bottom. There is the golden element well placed in the corner of its inner box.

The cable is alleged to be high quality. I choose to believe it, even though I am not a chemist, but I am a firm believer in Simgot tech and how it has worked in the past.

Its a single 10mm with dual magnetic support and some custom carved inner cavities.

Simgot EA500 Sound

The sound of the Simgot Audio EA500 is an enveloping experience; its warmth is captivating, while the details and depth are impressive. The soundstage is expansive, making the music feel alive and vibrant. The lack of microdetails may be a disappointment to some, but it also gives the listener a more enjoyable experience. The ability to portray the tension of guitar strings is particularly noteworthy, although it is not as advanced as some of its competitors. Separation, however, is a strong point and there is a clear distinction between each instrument in a live jazz record. This is a testament to Simgot’s expertise, ensuring that the nuances of each instrument are heard, no matter how crowded the mix may be. Overall, the Simgot Audio EA500 provides a distinct, dynamic listening experience that is sure to please.

Bass

The Simgot Audio EA500 truly lives up to its name with its signature of dynamism. The bass performance is nothing short of remarkable, with every nuance faithfully represented. I could clearly make out the drummer’s hits and the stick’s rise and fall on their surface. Electronic basses are usually lifeless and dull, but the EA500 gives them a real energy, making them pound and vibrate with life. Furthermore, the neutral approach to the record results in a smooth and balanced sound that is truly a delight to the ears. All in all, the Simgot Audio EA500 is a remarkable earphone that delivers a truly dynamic sound and faithful bass performance.

But beware; source is having a huge effect on the result, as dx300 and Gold on the Ceiling told me so.

Midrange


The midrange of the EA500 provides a great balance between accuracy and musicality. It’s neither too harsh nor too smooth, and it offers a natural sounding midrange. Instruments and vocals sound clear and detailed, with a good sense of depth and plenty of fine detail. The soundstage is good, with plenty of texture and dimension. The sound is well-balanced across the frequency range, with a slight emphasis on the midrange. The sound is not overly bright or overly warm, but rather natural and balanced. The treble is crisp and clean, with good extension and airiness. The bass is tight and punchy, with a good sense of power and impact. Overall, the sound is very well balanced, with a good sense of detail, dynamics, and clarity.

Treble


The black tuning rings boost the treble, while the red ones tend to reduce it. This can be both advantageous and disadvantageous depending on the genre of music – they can make treble-oriented genres enjoyable or they can make songs from genres requiring treble sound lifeless. However, they are very well suited to Blues Brothers, which is a definite plus.

Comparisons

vs Truthear Hexa: Hexa is definitely power loving and more competent in technicalities. But can easily sound cornered and harsh, when compared to Simgot EA500. However, EA500 has the upper hand when it comes to 3D imaging and texturing.

vs iKKo OH10: OH10 is failing compared to Simgot EA500 in many parameters. It’s hard to call it nice and move along, when EA500 is present. Oh10 is a wide angle for sure, almost U shaped, but EA is like W.

vs Tin Hifi C2: This one is a special request. However, I wouldn’t put both in the same comparison. C2 is obviously behind EA in many technical parameters, even though I gave it more power than it can dream of. Treble’s nasality compared to EA is the last thing we must note down.
